"Hanging on To Yesterday"
These are your comments and reminescent
thoughts of the band.
From Allen T. in MD:
"I met my wife at Maxwell's in the Perring Plaza Shopping Center in July of 1986.We used to go to their shows every Monday and the occassional Friday/Saturday when they were scheduled to play. Great music, fun times, and lots of awesome memories. Every once in a while, we'll drag out the vinyl EP's and try to find a record player to listen to the tunes. Tim is an amazing performer and we enjoy his Slim Man music as well. Please let me know where and when a reunion may take place if it indeed does."
From Tom D. in VA:
"Electric Circus, 9:30 Club and a few others is where my girlfriend and I would go to watch the guys play.
The music was good, fun and honest..."pulling muscles from Michelle". Now I enjoy Slim Man, Tom Alonso and BonaFide but still love the oldies and would love to see a reunion show...mini-tour! "
From Marybeth T. in MD:
"My husband turned me on to this site and it made me think of those magical days when he and I were dating. We actually met at a show at the old Maxwell's in 1986 and will be married for 20 years in a few weeks. How cool would it be to have the show there, but it probably won't work with the set up being different these days. I'm not much of a dancer, but hearing the guys play "Woman's Touch", "Three Ring Circus", and "Fire in the Hole" would make even me get on the floor. While I don't listen to the band anymore because our cassettes and records are worn out, lost, or just plain put away, I think I could still sing their songs. I really enjoyed their cover of The Outfield's "Lose Your Love Tonight", too. To this day, whenever we can find Tim (Slimman) playing, we try to make it there. I love his jazz sound now as much as I enjoyed his Bootcamp days as a rocker. If there was a way to meld both, that would be really cool. Here's hoping for a reunion gig really soon. Maybe it could be a once a year thing!"
From C. Hall. in MD:
"Man, a reunion show would be way cool! A friend told me it might happen and gave me this website. I had to send my message because those guys rocked with passion and energy like no other. Going to Maxwell's and the Barn were some of the best weekends I ever had. I haven't heard any of their songs in years, but I bet I still know all the words. Fire In The Hole was my fav, but my girlfriend at the time liked Woman's Touch. I wonder what she's doing now, but I digress...I sure hope the reunion happens. Let me know when and where!"
From Doug F. in MD:

From Kristina E. in MD:
"I have been searching and searching for Bootcamp for years.
I had a cassette in my teen years that was 4 songs- Shoot the Moon, Fire in the Hole, Get a Hold of Yourself and A Women’s Touch.
After years of play, the cassette was distorted and then I had no venue to find another CD or hear this GREAT band.
I was under-age when Bootcamp was in their heyday, but I remember fondly sneaking into Maxwell’s to see the band.
I am buying the CD today.
We need a reunion tour all across MD and DC"

"Yes. I would like to see a Bootcamp reunion!
This would be great fun!
I remember many shows and can recount many evenings spent with the Banzai Boys practicing for my current life of debauchery and otherwise licentious behavior!
I can remember a night when Slimmy skied down the steps INSIDE his mom's house - boots, poles, goggle (beer?), etc.
Oh, and the music was great too.
If you do a reunion, make sure the venue is well prepared!"
